QFaN: Getting something on /latest?

I've got a patch for bug 2100 but I can't really test it as I'm unable to get recent posts on the Latest Things page. What am I missing here? I thought this could be related to TheSchwartz so I set that up following the Wiki's instructions but no luck. Help, please?

I think the Latest Things page needs Memcache!

And I bet they'll only show up if they're made after memcache is up and running.

Yep, you need memcache, and the latest-feed worker running.

And posts that are posted after memcache is set up will show up after 5 minutes.
