Dude. I am not stupid and I read English perfectly well. I even know enough about Unix that I can read a man page. What I don't know is perl: I got a dreamhack so I can roll my own style patches, i.e. write stuff in s2 and run a few unix commands on it, and be on my merry way.
"Don't introduce syntax errors" (a) reads like "don't fuck up", which is useless and dispiriting for the person being told that and (b) doesn't tell me anything about syntax, like why 'password' should be in single quotes but $DW::PRIVATE::THESCHWARTZ_DBS{pass}, should not be.
